Gubbi End Table

Gubbi is a solid wood end table, shaped through stacked, rounded forms and finished with a matte black top. Turned by hand, each curve builds into the next — a form that feels familiar without needing explanation.

It sits where it’s needed. Next to a chair, beside a sofa. Holding a book, a glass, the small things that gather over time.

Gubbi is named for the sparrow — not for what it is, but for what it does. It leaves, and it returns. Not out of habit, but with an unspoken certainty of where it belongs.

The form draws from vessels that have existed in Indian homes for generations. Shapes made by hand, repeated over time, until they become instinct. Here, they are held in balance — proportioned, reduced, and resolved into a single object.

Some pieces move through a space. Others allow it to settle.
