Product Story

The narrow-necked vessel is one of the oldest forms in Indian domestic life. Saar takes that form and removes its function entirely — what is left is the memory of a silhouette. Full-bodied, ribbed, grounded. Made in cotton mache, it carries no water. It carries only the shape that generations of hands made instinctively, because the proportion was always right. Some objects hold things. Saar holds the idea of holding.

Variation:
Each piece is individually crafted by hand. Slight variations in shape, surface, and finish, along with minor irregularities, are a natural part of the making process

Care

· For indoor residential use only.

· Keep away from moisture, high humidity, and rain.

· Do not place near bathrooms, kitchens, or open windows. Do not place water, flowers, food, or any wet or organic matter inside or on the piece.

· Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — colours will fade.

· Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth only. Wipe in one direction.

· Do not use water, wet cloths, sprays, or chemical cleaners of any kind.

· This piece is delicate and not impact-resistant — handle with care.

· Where applicable (lids, flaps), open and close gently.

Placement Guidance

Best displayed on a console, side table, or shelf with space around the form. Avoid crowding — this piece is designed to be read individually.

Craft Assurance

We stand behind the craft for one year from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects in structure and finish.

Issues visible at the time of delivery, including transit damage or a wrong product, must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, along with the unboxing video and photographs. Manufacturing defects that surface within the Craft Assurance period will be assessed through photographs and videos shared with us. Coverage applies when the piece has been kept indoors, away from moisture, and used in accordance with the Product Care instructions.

Craft Assurance does not extend to minor surface texture irregularities, slight colour gradation, small air pockets, or dimensional variation inherent to cotton mâché craft, nor to any damage resulting from outdoor placement, exposure to water or humidity, or use as a vessel for water, fruits, flowers, or any liquid or organic material. To make a claim, write to hello@indiadesignhouse.com with photographs and, where applicable, the unboxing video. We will respond within 7 business days and, where warranted, arrange repair, part replacement, full replacement, or refund as appropriate.
